Williamtown
Willy, as the locls seem to call it, is low and wooden with a profusion of large Victorian houses/mansions. Convict cut bluestone roads still pop up in the laneways and the land is level to the edge of gigantic Phillip Bay, dotted to the horizen with container ships dwarfed in the immensity of it. Flat land, flat sea. We drove along the beach and saw the time tower, guns and general remnants of a busy and prosperous seafaring life. Its very manicured and genteel with the new suburb bit that M and M live in built to blend in with the general surrounds, so its all 'mock federation' if you can say that, and very smart.

Melbourne Madness
A quick trip to Melbourne to see friends, experience the city and do a reccie for the excursion in August. A bit of a holiday treat- I hope.
On arrival Michael whisked us away to historic Williamstown where he and Mel, plus Thomas, Pepe and Peaches, have settled.
