Viking exhibition

As usual no photos in the exhibition which is a pity partly because there were magnificent things to remember but also it would have been something to do as we inched at a traditional snails pace around the gallery. The ship stole my heart and there was the most interesting selection of jewelry showing every influence and origin fro a dozen countries. The section on women and magic I would have liked to be larger, a topic to be explored.
It was very crowded which did surprise me a little it's been open for 2 months. It didn't get far into the debate on peaceful traders v. Psycho killers it seemed to rest at 'both'

Leaving Lincoln

Off to London today and the sky is blue, at least at the moment. Yesterday started gray then became sunny and ended up pouring with heavy, icy rain. I was so cold I had to have hot chocolate to recover. The hotel has been very comfortable.

Slightly more modern subject today, the Berlin museum, covering the history of the city. Some fun things, thumb screws, execution axe, cups for keeping your mustache dry.
