Not a huge amount left of Roman occupation here, most of it in the museum. The town itself is pretty in a rather relentless fashion, they obviously value the towns appearance and have since the 1900s at least, designing new houses to fit in and using the local stone. It's all a bit like Berry in a way. Lots of shops geared to the tourist trade but in a very upmarket way. Very pleasant place to spend time with tons of really excellent food places but once the weekend is over back to the real world
