Monday to London

Mad scrambling day trying to get to London. The flight from Nimes was cancelled and no alternative offered until Wednesday, rather too late. So a mad dash ensued, taxi to Nimes train station, caught the tvg with 3 mins to spare, 3 hours to Paris then a luckily delayed Eurostar enabled a 3 hour trip to London. Most of the underground was cancelled but the line to Goodge St was still open. The most hair raising part of the trip was the walk to the hotel, slithering over icy and deserted streets. More snow is forecast but I hope to be gone by then.
